Lorenzo Simmons has been a Special Education teacher at Tift County High School for the last 4 years but following tonight's board meeting he will begin transitioning into his new role as Director of School Nutrition.
Mr. Simmons has an extensive background in the food service industry, which he entered at the age of 18. He has worked with corporations such as KFC where he was a Director of Operations and District Manger for over 17 years. He also spent 13 years as the Food Service Director for Healthcare Services Group.
Originally from Milledgeville, GA, Mr. Simmons has been part of the Blue Devil family for many years. His wife, Greta, is a teacher at Len Lastinger Elementary and his daughter Loren is 2024 TCHS graduate.
We are excited for the knowledge and expertise that Mr. Simmons brings to our School Nutrition Program. He is pictured with Natalie Gore, Superintendent and Klinton Guess, Deputy Superintendent for Business and Operations.
Congratulations!
