This year’s Brumby Legacy Award winner, Harold Abbott, selected G.O. Bailey Elementary to receive a $500 donation sponsored by Pope The Real Estate Company.
Mr. Abbott, who retired as Tift County Schools Superintendent, was the first principal of G.O. Bailey in 1973, and he holds many fond memories of his time at the school. This morning, he returned to present the check and celebrate the continued legacy of excellence in education.
