Congratulations to the ESMS FFA Conduct of Chapter Meeting team for placing 2nd in the Area V Leadership Development Event. The team will compete at the state competition at the Georgia FFA Convention in Macon in April. This LDE tests students’ knowledge of parliamentary law through a four phase competition: parliamentary presentation, oral questions, written test, and the presentation of written minutes.


Mrs. Story's 7th graders have been learning about Biomedical Engineering. They were challenged to create a prosthetic leg using various supplies, and were encouraged to consider structure, comfort, and realistic characteristics. Lynda Fisher spoke to Mrs. Story's class about her journey of being an amputee, as well as her different prosthetics! Lynda also judged the student's prosthetic creations! 8th grade ESMS CTAE Careers students appreciate Carol Fogle, licensed cosmetologist, coming and talking to them about her career. Dr. Wise's students got to see first hand some of the job duties of cosmetologists.


The ESMS Ag Department is proud to celebrate Georgia Agriculture Week! Join us in celebrating those who provide our food, clothing and other necessities daily as well as the future ag leaders in our program!


ESMS Jr. Beta Club raised funds to donate a monetary gift and a gift basket of needed items for the Tift County Animal Shelter. Some students will also be volunteering their time to help at the shelter.


Congratulations ESMS FFA members for their GOLD status Middle School Record Books! The Middle School Record Book program is an awards program that recognizes FFA members in grades 6-8 with their outstanding Supervised Agricultural Experience (SAE) programs. GOLD Finalists will advance to the state level and be recognized on stage at the Georgia FFA Convention in April!

The Tift County Middle School Chorus received Superior Ratings today in both Performance and Sight Reading.


Congratulations to ESMS FFA member Kazmir Lester for placing 4th in the Area V FFA Junior Prepared Public Speaking CDE with her speech on Food Deserts in America.


6th graders in Healthcare are learning about the respiratory system! They researched a lung disorder and created a model of the respiratory system using items they had at home!
