Out of County Attendance Requests are considered prior to the start of a new school year (May - July) for all grade levels and in December for students in grades 9-12.

High school students who are approved in December will start school in Tift County in January when the new semester begins.

All out of county requests must include a copy of the student's behavior, attendance and grades from the most recent school term. If accepted, out of county students must maintain satisfactory performance with no attendance and behavior issues. If a problem with any of these develops, the acceptance can be revoked and the student will be required to return to their home system.

Placement for out of county students will be made based upon available space within schools.

*Out of county students attending Tift County Schools are not required to pay tuition.
