Deadline to Request Participation:

  • Fall Enrollment: June 28, 2024

  • Spring Enrollment: December 5, 2024

**This documentation must be received 30 calendar days prior to the first day of school of the semester the home study student will be enrolling in Tift County.**

Dexter Mosley Act

Under the Dexter Mosely Act, home study students in grades 6-12 are eligible to participate in extracurricular and interscholastic activities at their local public schools. Click the link on the right to access the Home Study Participation Request form and learn more about the requirements and enrollment process.

Ineligibility:

  • A student who withdraws from a public school to participate in a home study program shall be ineligible for participation in any E/I activity for 12 months from the date of the home study
