As we prepare for students to return to the buildings on Wednesday please review our RETURN 2021 document that outlines practices all students and staff are encouraged to follow.
These include but are not limited to:
physical distancing
good hand washing practices
covering coughs and sneezes
encourage the use of masks for students and staff when physical distancing is not possible
staying at home when experiencing any cold or flu like symptoms (until fever free for 24 hours)
All school buildings have been sanitized/disinfected via electrostatic machines and will be sanitized/disinfected again prior to the return of students on Wednesday.

Perfect weather for more K-5 students to visit Brodie Field today to watch The Santa Clause 2 as a PBIS reward. Santa Claus surprised the students with a visit at the end of the movie.
Out of an abundance of caution, Tift County High School was placed on a soft lockdown this morning while the Tifton Fire Department investigated an odor of gas in the area. System security personnel worked with the fire department to locate the source and determined that there was no threat to the safety and security of the students or staff. The school has resumed normal operations.
Members of the Operations Dept. (Transportation, Maintenance, Grounds and Security) were treated to Christmas breakfast this morning by district administrators. This was a thank you for the work they do for our students in our Relentless Pursuit of a Culture of Excellence! #4theT
Due to circumstances beyond our control and out of an abundance of caution the Tift County basketball games against Cook County scheduled for this Saturday, December 18th, have been canceled.

Tift County Schools mourns the loss of a member of our student body. Our thoughts and prayers are with the family during this difficult time.
The Tift County Show Choirs will host their annual Christmas Spectacular this Friday and Saturday at 6:30pm at the TCHS PAC. Admission is $10.
