Attendees included future School Nutrition leaders from across the state. Chief Nutrition Officer, Vanessa Hayes, spoke about the importance of relationships between all system departments and school nutrition and how we have found success in our system through the relationships we have built #4theT.

Registration is now open for the next session in the City of Tifton's Financial Literacy Initiative. This class, USING CREDIT WISELY, will be Tuesday, March 21st at 5:30pm at the Leroy Rogers Center. Childcare will be provided. See image for registration information. #4theT

The Georgia Department of Early Care and Learning and Georgia’s Pre-K Program are partnering with the Path2College 529 Plan, the official college savings plan for the state of Georgia, to sponsor this year’s Pre-K to college sweepstakes. Four children from across the state will be randomly selected to win a $1,529.00 contribution for their Path2College 529 Plan. The four Pre-K programs that the winners attend will also win a $1,529.00 check made payable to their Pre-K program. The deadline to enter is March 31, 2023.

Free athletic physicals will be given at Georgia Sports Medicine, Southwell Orthopedics at 2227 Hwy 41 N. on Saturday, April 22nd, from 8:30am-12:30pm.
This will be for students currently in grade 5-11 that are interested in playing middle school or high sports next year.
The schedule will be:
8:30am-9:45am Football, Softball, Cross Country, Volleyball, Esports
9:45am-11:00am Cheer, Basketball, Wrestling, Swim, Gymnastics, Bass Fishing, Tiftarea
11:00am-12:30pm Baseball, Tennis, Golf, Track, Soccer, Riflery
The forms will be shared out as soon as they are available. Parent signatures and personal information will need to be filled out before you can get your physical.

Tift County Show Choirs will present their 2023 Showcase, Tuesday, March 7th at 6:30pm in the TCHS PAC. Eighth Street Singing Company, Ladies Choice, Tiftosterone and One Voice will all perform their 2023 competition shows. You don't want to miss this event. Admission is $7.

Congratulations to the 2023 Tift County winners in the GA Young Authors Writing Competition. These students were selected from the entries at each grade level and will advance to compete at the regional level at Coastal Plains RESA. #4theT


The College Board AP Program recognizes high school students who have demonstrated outstanding college-level achievement through their performance on multiple AP Exams. AP Scholar Awards come in different levels and we are proud to be able to recognize 15 AP Scholars from the 2023 cohort.
The following students earned the AP Scholar Award for scoring 3 or higher on three or more AP Exams: JADARIUS BAILEY, AIDAN EVANS, JOHN MITCHELL, CAMERON NIXON, JONATHAN OLSON, LILLY ROACH, MABEL SCOTT. ABRAHAM SOTO AND SANDRA VIRUGES.
Students who earned the AP Scholar with Honor Award for attaining an average score of at least 3.25 on all AP Exams taken, and scores of 3 or higher on four or more exams.
